Should have passed the Higher Secondary Examination of (10 +2) Curriculum (Academic Stream) prescribed by the Government of Tamil Nadu with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as three of the four subjects of study under Part-III or any examination of any other University or authority accepted by the Syndicate of Anna University as equivalent thereto.

Should have passed the Higher Secondary Examination of Vocational stream (Vocational groups in Engineering / Technology) as prescribed by the Government of Tamil Nadu.

Should possess the Diploma in Engineering / Technology awarded by the State Board of Technical Education, Tamil Nadu or any other authority accepted by the Syndicate of the university as equivalent thereto.

Vocational Subjects prescribed for B.E./B.Tech. Degree Admission

Auto Mechanic, Building Maintenance, Business Machines and Computer Programming, Diesel Mechanic, Domestic Electronic Equipment(Project Equipment), Draughtsman(Civil), Draughtsman(Mechanical), Electrical Domestic Appliance(repairs and maintenance), Electrical Motor Rewinding, Farm Machines and Post Harvest Technology, Fitting, Foundry, General Machinist, Leather Technology, Maintenance and Servicing of Electrical Machines including Generators, Metal Finishing, Radio and Television(maintenance and repair), Repair and Maintenance of Refrigeration and Airconditioning Equipments, Repair and Maintenance of Two Wheelers, Sheet Metal Works, Soil Conservation and Rural Construction Technology, Textile Technology, Tractor Repair and Maintenance, Welding.

Improvements

The marks obtained in the first improvement only will be considered.

Minimum Marks

II year B.E / B.Tech Degree Programmes(Lateral Entry)

The candidates who possess the Diploma in Engineering / Technology awarded by the State Board of Technical Education and Training, are eligible for admission to the third semester of the B.E. / B.Tech. Degree Programmes in affiliated colleges through lateral entry system.

A pass with minimum eligibility marks in one of the Diploma in Engineering / Technology of the State Board of Technical Education and Training, Tamil nadu.
